Straight to the point, it is about a space mission gone horribly wrong. Sunshine is a sci-fi movie directed by Danny Boyle with an international cast. A team of astronauts missioned to preclude the sun from dying completely by delivering a bomb on board their space ship the Icarus II . As an intended tragedy, the crew died one after another through mishaps from human error as well as sacrifice operations, not to mention by the hand of a mutated crew turned psychopath whom had abandoned the first mission 7 years ago. Nevertheless, the mission was successful but with zero survivors.
I've always loved science fiction movies, from Star Wars to The Abyss to the classic 2001: A Space Odyssey. I have to say Sunshine is relatively plausible on the plot and it's audio visual treat is excellent. I wouldn't mind getting the DVD once it's available. An exhilarating concept altogether.

There's a little bit of Mars chocolate on the dial of my dslr, probably got it from my midnight snack. Nevertheless, it gave me a general sense of well being. Both of it.
Have you heard of Finetune? I reckon it's got the most complete song library on the web, and for free. Trust my reckoning.
Here's my first playlist consisting of 45 of my favourite tracks, and surprisingly Finetune has them.

Got home in the morning and walked past the field across my block. There's a dove singing competition held every Sunday, where all the bird lovers would gather and display their prized possession high up across the poles. Getting to hear these beautiful creatures sing is hard to come by. I suppose if I really want to then I should grab some snacks and perhaps mingle around with the participants, but I headed home instead and grabbed my dslr.
Organized by The New Paper and Canon, the contest is open to all from the age of 16 to 35. The overall winner will have the chance to set his career path of being an official photojournalist, after serving an internship with The New Paper for 4 weeks as a training foundation. In addition, he or she will also get a dSLR system worth $5,000 which comprises of a Canon EOS 30D body, 430EX flash, 3 pro-grade prime lenses – 24mm F2.8, 50mm F1.8, and 100mm Macro F2.8 and the new Pro9000 A3-sized photo printer.
Contestants are required to submit 3 photos, one for each of the 3 themes Scenery, People and Action. No additional retouching is allowed except for colour correction, exposure correction, cropping, sharpening and resizing.
So far, I've chosen 3 of my best photos which I personally think suits in the themes. The top photo was taken during my recent Phuket trip. The middle was at Hard Rock Hotel in Bali, but taken with my Sony compact. The bottom was during a corporate soccer match. I'm not really confident though, since god knows there are much better photographers and photos out there submitted for the contest.
Anyway, Gum got her entry submitted, Amsyari is waiting for me to submit so I probably guess he'll be mad if he finds out, and Nat - I'm not really sure if she's interested in the contest anyway since her only ambition is to rule over the world with designer chemicals!!!
I thought it's about time to give my collection something fresh, so I got myself Def Jam: Icon! I didn't have much time to actually head down to Challenger to take advantage of it's Rewards points, so I settled for Cyber Active instead.
By the way, the last time I played head to head games like this was Tekken 3 for PS2 at a friend's house. Naturally I don't buy these sort of games, but after reading the review at Gamespot I've finally decided to splurge on it. One particular reason is that, despite the main versus genre, you can take the stakes at marketing your own label, something like Death Row or Shady. Yes of course, it's fictional and virtual right down to the greens, but the music is not. Tracks you get are real. Once you've revved up some style points after beating your opponents stylishly, you could even hook up artists to sign up on your label and release their songs. All in your fingertips will be the budgeting for marketing, airplay, promos and such. It all depends on how much you want to spend and invest. You reap what you sow.
Combat is somewhat similar from the previous Def Jam titles. Learning curve for me is a little steep, since I had trouble getting blocks. Controls are pretty adjustable so you might find a way to your liking. The unique thing to complement the combat arsenal is the DJ controls. You will be able to put the hostile environment to your advantage, by pulling a DJ scratch. The environmental hazards in-game can be deadly and useful as you progress further into the game. Apart from that you can use song switching, which acts as a bonus for extra attack power.
There's a variety of fighting styles, from the Ghetto Blaster to the Jah Breaker, 6 in total. Each has it's own strengths and weaknesses, but you can earn them as you progress.
Dealing with people in the game needs money too. As you get richer, you'll tend to spend for them, not just on you. Apart from shopping for the hip blings and clothes to boost your style points, you'll spend on artists' sound wares and even cars. Take it as an investment to keep their relationship level healthy with you.
So far, I've got Ludacris and Mike Jones under my record label, and Redman keeps things swell for me. My finger is twitching to grab the controller, but reality calls and I got to work tomorrow morning.
Met up with SK at Bukit Panjang Plaza to hand over the coloured sequential pieces. I guess he felt elated when he saw it. Had trouble with printing the 7 pages earlier in the morning. I actually had to go down to the store for the replacement inks 3 times; for the colours Yellow, Magenta and Cyan. The printer's status monitor is so damn unreliable. Although the printer's colour profile is not really in tune with the document's, I felt contented since I managed to finish it on time.
Soon after that met up with Dina at Hereen. Her boss is around so we didn't really have time to talk. She seemed more cheerful now, guess that now she's no longer single, and probably that makes her a better person. Felt happy for her anyway. By the way I waited for little more than half and hour to get to Somerset MRT since it was raining so heavily. Got drenched because I walked all the way, didn't even think about running since my slippers are so slippery! Rather get wet than pulling a stunt on the streets.
Got home, and brother needed to go out. At least dad got someone to look after at home. This morning dad went out alone again, but I realized only after I woke up. Thank god nothing happened.
Couldn't meet up with Nat at Starbucks NP, as well as the rest of the guys for 300. Maybe next time. By the way thanks Nat for the proof reading! Kisses!
A couple weeks ago, all the camera makers gathered in Las Vegas to strut their latest. Amidst the bright lights, big screens, buttons, and megapixels, it was easy to forget that photography can be a very simple art form.
